Manual Inspection Booths with feedback control and customization possibilities

Phoenix Imaging believes that specific customer applications requirements might need more than one size fits all.  In fact, we offer manual inspection booths with Top Lighting, Side lighting and booths with both Top & Bottom lighting.  Manual Inspection Booths with LED linear module lighting and LED panel lighting.  Low intensity lighitngs systems to meet USP and EP requirements and high intensity lighting systems to meet JP requirements.  Manual Inspection Booths for Cartridges, Syringes, Vials, Bottles and even IV Bags.  There are in fact Hundreds of variations possible in the MIB product family.

A few things we’re great at

Our Dual Sided Lighting Systems have a very large uniform inspection volume.  Depending on the model the inspection volume can be as large as 20 liters in which the light intensity will change less than ±10%.  Depending on the model the inspection volume depth can be 100 mm to 300 mm to better match the size of the customer’s containers.

Our feedback circuitry monitors the light source outpu (luminous flux) several thousand time per second and automatically adjust the current to maintain the desired light intensity level in the inspection volume.  But you can still measure the light intensity the old fashion way if it makes you feel better.  The system will even inform you when the light source needs to be replaced.

Adjustable Light Intensity

Whether the MIB product has adjustable light source positions or lighting controller current most booths offer wide intensity range, typically 2,000 to 10,000 Lux.  Special LED units provide even higher output if required.  The MIB products are offered in bench top and floor standing models, all of which have digital lighting control with active feedback.  Instant light intensity changes are now possible, simply enter the target light intensity on the HMI.

PLC Function Control

The MIB units with PLC control provide selectable inspection  options.  Including LED Pacer Indicators for “Time Active Inspection”, alarms, timer settings, inspection counters, etc.

The MIB-250™ is a new class of Manual Inspection Booths that in conjunction with the BatchServer™ Data Storage System provides CFR21 Part 11 compliant records.

Flexible Product Configuration

Depending on the model there are multiple options that allow the customer to configure the MIB to match their application requirements.  Options include: Side Shelves, Catch Basin, Light Blinds, Light Curtains, Hydraulic Leg Lifts & more.

Material Choice

The material used for construction of the MIB product is designed with the application in mind.  All materials are designed for easy cleanability and for years of use.  Products can be purchased in Stainless Steel for Clean Room use.

Portfolio of RLPS™ Products

Referee Level Particle Standards (RLPS™) are used to determine the Human Baseline for inspection of pharmaceuitcal products.  The Phoenix Imaging product can be expanded after the initial Baseline Study to include defect samples that lie in the “Must Reject Zone” to create a Challlenge Set.  The typical Phase I Study set consist of 100 – 150 container with approximately 35 seeded containers with a wide range of particle sizes.  The Challenge set can be as small as 150 to as large as 700 or more containers.
